Joan Irving has been creating unique and contemporary glass sculptures, furniture and accessories since 1980. She is internationally recognized as an innovator in technique, concept and design. Her work is extensively exhibited and collected throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan and is included in the permanent collection of the Corning Museum of Glass. She has completed numerous public art commissions including three major sites at the San Diego International Airport and metal, glass and neon sculptures for the City of Escondido.

 

Joan Irving and Michael Asselman of Cast Glass Images, working in collaboration, recently completely a monumental project replicating the original glass panels that once graced the corridors of the Empire State Building.

 

Joan has received numerous awards and recognition for her work and continues to break ground with bold, new functional and sculptural works that explode with color and imagery.
